Supplier settings
Suppliers are far more than just sources of goods, they are essential partners that impact your business operations, profitability, and customer satisfaction. Cin7 ForesightAI can review your historical sales information to help optimize and streamline your purchases and supplier relationships. You can refine these insights with your own experience to help generate accurate replenishment recommendations and ensure optimal stock levels. While the Edit Arena allows you to manage your products at an individual level, you can control your inventory at a higher level with Supplier and Warehouses settings.
Supplier settings
Select your user profile and then Suppliers.
This will open a list of all your suppliers. You can then set a minimum order amount, purchase order period, and lead times.
Minimum order
Your supplier might require a minimum order value (e.g. must spend at least $200). If there is a minimum order, Smart Reorder will suggest other popular products from that supplier to meet the threshold for a purchase order.
Purchase order period
Decide how often you want to order from a supplier. A longer period might require more products to last you until you can restock. For example, ordering a lot of products from this supplier because there are significant transport costs. A shorter period needs smaller amounts of stock that you will order more frequently. For example, ordering a small amount from this supplier because their products have expiry dates.
Lead times
Enter the amount of time it takes between making a purchase and receiving your goods from the supplier (e.g. 10 days). Lead times can help Smart Reorder plan replenishment and avoid stockouts.
Based on your data
By default, Cin7 ForesightAI automatically calculates the Lead times based on your historical data. You can turn this off and force ForesightAI to only use your manually set Lead times in its calculations.
Edit Arena
All of the Suppliers settings are applied to all products for that supplier. However, you can refine your forecasts even further by applying controls per product in the Edit Arena. You can filter for a specific suppliers and bulk update all their products. Edit Arena offers a wider range of controls and settings than what is available in the Suppliers settings. Any setting in the Edit Arena will override your Suppliers settings.
