Minimum order quantity (MOQ)
Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ) is the smallest amount of this item you can buy from your supplier per order. For example, you have to buy at least 100 units from your supplier each order.
ForesightAI will increase your reorder quantity to meet the Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ) amount. For example, if a supplier requires an MOQ of 4 units, and ForesightAI calculates you need 2 units for optimal stock levels, ForesightAI will suggest 4 units to meet the supplier's minimum.
Set the Minimum order quantity (MOQ)
You can add the Minimum order quantity (MOQ) in the Edit Arena. The Edit Arena is an advanced inventory management tool with settings for each product.
Select your user profile and then Edit Arena.
Select your Edit Arena filters so the SKU (or multiple SKUs) appears in the Edit Arena. For example, click the Product filter and then enter the SKU you want to update.
Add the minimum order quantity (MOQ) for each SKU. You may need to add this field to the table by selecting Show/Hide.
Bulk update MOQ
You can add the same MOQ to all products in the list.
In the Edit Arena, add the MOQ in the top row and then select For all.
Check the Save this rule for future edits if you want to set this for all future changes for these products.
Select Confirm to bulk update the Expiration in days.
Minimum order quantity (MOQ) and Packing
If a product has both MOQ and Packing, the system will first ensure the order meets the MOQ.
After that, if the quantity isn't already a multiple of the packing size, the system will round the order up to the nearest multiple of the packing size that is at or above the MOQ.
Example: If MOQ is 4 and packing is 2, and the ideal recommendation is 5, the system will increase it to 6 (to meet both MOQ and packing requirements).
